thought as to whether it will really work for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DETERMINE IF IT\u2019S A FIT FOR YOU<\/strong>
\u2610 Are you self-motivated and disciplined? Can you get work done without having
others give you motivation?
\u2610 Are you confident in your abilities to work without supervision?
\u2610 Will you be happy spending a lot of time alone?
\u2610 Do you need face-to-face interaction, or would communication via email, phone,
chat, or video conference suffice?
\u2610 Is your home big enough? Is there an area that can be used for your office space?
\u2610 Will others in the house respect your need to be uninterrupted?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WORKSPACE AND ESSENTIALS<\/strong>
\u2610 Set aside a work area in your home that is separate from the rest of your life.
\u2610 Choose a workspace with plenty of natural light.
\u2610 Set up a dedicated phone line or cell to use for work calls.
\u2610 Ensure you have reliable, high speed Internet access.
\u2610 Create a quality workspace complete with desk, ergonomic chair, lighting, printer,
copier, and storage space.
\u2610 Obtain a quality desktop or laptop computer.
\u2610 Install Microsoft Office 365, plus any other software necessary for your particular
job.
\u2610 Stock up on office stationery. Set up an account with your local store, if necessary, to
ensure you never run out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAKING IT WORK<\/strong>
\u2610 Structure your day. Set yourself regular working hours and stick to them.
\u2610 Tell friends and family that you\u2019re \u2018at work\u2019 during your working hours. Often, those
close to you think that if you\u2019re home, then it\u2019s OK to call or pop in for a chat.
\u2610 Take regular breaks.
\u2610 Save your work to the cloud with OneDrive. That way, you can take your work with
you if you need a change of scenery.
\u2610 Be sure to check your email after the working day has finished<\/p>\n\n\n\n
